AJPalooza attire is business casual — with emphasis on the casual! Jeans are fine; we’d like you to be comfortable and happy during this event. For dinner on Wednesday (only), we’ll dress it up a bit with smart casual attire. Some of our off-site visits, including dinner on Wednesday, will be easier with shoes that are suited for dirt floors (like cowboy boots).

We encourage our guests to think of AJPalooza as dedicated time to be present with each other, learning from each other, sharing stories and making real connections. To support that, you may consider stepping away from calls, meetings and email during sessions. If you want to take hard copy notes, we’ll have notebooks and pens available.

We want AJPalooza to foster open, candid discussions. Unless a speaker specifically asks otherwise, attendees should assume that session content is shareable and attributable. However, if you plan to publicly share or publish a story or quote, you must get the speaker’s approval first.

We are staying at the Crescent Hotel Fort Worth. AJP grantees: Please refer to the grantee travel expense guidance for specific instructions on travel costs.

The Crescent Hotel Fort Worth (3300 Camp Bowie Blvd, Fort Worth) is approximately 34 miles from the Dallas-Fort Worth Airport (DFW) and 47 miles from Dallas Love Field (DAL).

For a lower-cost (but longer) option, the Trinity Metro TexRail runs between DFW and downtown Fort Worth for $2 each way. Trains run every 30 minutes during peak times, and the ride to Fort Worth Central Station takes about 55 minutes. Please note, from the station you will still need a rideshare to the Crescent Hotel (approximately $10–15). • New subscribers may open the app and click “Buy.”
• They should ensure that they select “Trinity Metro” as their preferred agency as this app is used by multiple transit agencies.
