Joe Natoli, Board Chair

Executive Vice President and Chief Administrative Officer, Baptist Health South Florida

Joe Natoli is executive vice president and chief administrative officer of Baptist Health South Florida, the largest nonprofit healthcare system in South Florida with 11 acute-care hospitals and more than 150 physician practice and outpatient facilities.

Prior to joining Baptist Health, Joe served for a decade as senior vice president for business and finance and CFO of the University of Miami. From 2013 to 2015, he also served as interim chief operating officer of the University of Miami Health System.

Before moving to higher education and healthcare, Joe worked for Knight Ridder, Inc., where he served as chairman and publisher of the company’s largest newspapers, The Philadelphia Inquirer and Daily News. Previously, he was president and publisher of the San Jose Mercury News and president of the Miami Herald Publishing Company.

Joe earned a bachelor’s degree in accounting from the University of South Florida and an MBA from Nova Southeastern University. He completed Harvard University’s Advanced Management Program, along with Managing Health Care Delivery and is a former CPA.

An active community volunteer, he has chaired or co-chaired community-wide United Way campaigns in Miami-Dade County, Southeastern Pennsylvania (Philadelphia) and Silicon Valley (San Jose).
