Liam Andrew

Liam Andrew guides nonprofit news organizations’ technology and AI adoption by building tools and advising newsrooms on product strategy and technical resources.

Liam previously led the product department at The Texas Tribune, directing technology strategy and overseeing the engineering, design, product, and analytics teams. He has a background in software engineering, specializing in design and development of content management and recommendation systems. Prior to the Tribune, Liam held engineering roles at seed-stage startups and academic research labs focused on news aggregation and digital humanities. He enjoys working with storytellers to bring their work to life and maximize its reach and value.

Liam is based in Austin, Texas with his family and ornery cat, Niko.
