Nguyen Phan

Nguyen manages the day-to-day accounting and finance functions of the American Journalism Project. Nguyen has years of extensive accounting and finance experience across industries, and more than 15 years of experience supporting nonprofits. She has held a variety of positions in her career including senior accountant, finance manager and controller. Nguyen takes pride in building and leading strong accounting teams to provide excellent accounting and finance services as well as promoting the collaborative and supportive dynamics between teams.

Nguyen has a passion for helping others and explores her creative side through  painting, crafting, photography and furniture refinishing. Nguyen holds a bachelor’s degree in business administration with an accounting concentration from Old Dominion University and lives in Virginia with her husband.
