The Connecticut Mirror produces original, in-depth, nonpartisan journalism that informs Connecticut residents about the impact of public policy, holds government accountable and amplifies diverse voices and perspectives.

With reporters who are highly regarded by state and local government officials and have access to halls of power, The Connecticut Mirror holds government to account while facilitating greater and more diverse community participation in civic life. Now in its 11th year, the organization aims to grow to become one of the top five statehouse news organizations in the nation.

With support from the American Journalism Project, The Connecticut Mirror is pursuing an ambitious vision for growth and sustainability as the organization doubles capacity to scale its accountability and investigative coverage across Connecticut.
